The p.h is 6.7, when I got them I just used hma water p.h was 7.4 ( my mistake ) but have lowered it over several days now they are much happy, eating well, I'm getting my new tank in two weeks so will post a video then. Hopefully going to post a video a month to show growth rate. Great little fish but my God they like a fight !!!

Angelfish trait pal, I had some Leopoldi and they were fierce. Smashed hell out of each other, if you think they are bad now wait until they think about breeding

Interesting, I agree re the leopoldi, nothing but little hooligans with a chip on their shoulders ;) but my experience with the altums is the opposite, other than the odd jaw locking and charging bluster they are really peaceful for big fish......maybe it's because they are in quite a big group?

Altums are passive very sociable Angels, the Rio's are scalare and do like a good old territorial scrap, mine are fairly brutal at times. They do settle but I think I have about 4 pairs out of the 12 or so I have, so it does kick off every now and again. Still not put eggs done though :(

you may want to down the lighting a little, mine prefer a fairly dimly lit tank, if you need some floating plant let me know as I need to bin lots.
