Anyone know what plants these are?

    Hey guys

    I wanna get more of these plants as they have done really well in the tank, but are now coming to their life's end.

    They are Amazon Swords most of these are grown out of water and when placed in the tank they loose their leaves, yours look like they need some root tabs to give them a lift

    Simon.....you reckon root tabs will revive these at this stage, or are they too far gone and probably best to buy some new ones?

    Start with new ones and root tabs them, bare in mind that sand is not the best substrate to grow plants in but it's possible

    Cheers Matt. Might be stupid question, but how do I use the root tabs? Do they get placed under the sand next to the plant? And is it one tab per plant?

    Just put them under the plant, for a amazon sword I would use 2 tabs ( heavy root feeders )

    When you go to replant put an inch of laterite clay in the bottom, place tabs, cover with clay,dress out plant roots, and cover with sand. This provides extra nutrition and minerals for the plants and helps them to put down a good root mat. When these plants are healthy they will put out runners and spread.
