fin rot and fugus or discus plague

    hi every body recently bought some leopards and i suppose ive over done it with the feeding :( was heavy feeding to get good size and it was working a treat as they were getting to a good size , i have 10 in a 5ft tank and was changing a quarter of the water every night but it must have got out of hand as nitrite crept up.the fish were hanging about surface well some of them one went a bit black not all fish were affected only about 4 theyshowed signs of fin rot and a couple had fungus, removed them to hospital tank with mature filter perked up immediately eating breathing fine colour fine not hanging about at top or corners just fin rot and a bit of fungus on 4 of them what do you think discus plague or not I HOPE NOT :(

    Give big water changes,cut down on the feeding Discus
    plague normally affects new stock,you don't hear about it so much now days

    We are told it's not a plague but a mixture of deseses
