swimming pool filter sand

    Can anybody reccomend a supplier of quality filter sand,i have not used before and have found many types and colours on net but am unsure of what type or grade i need ,i am setting up a show tank and want sand suitable for cory,s to root about in and vallis to root in, any supplier recomendations and type grade of sand recomendations would be gratefully recieved, thanks guys.

    cant recommend a supplier (other than a search on the bay) but 16/30 is the grade most use I think. I and some others use argos play sand as an alternative.

    Personally I've used JBL River Substrate and no regrets with cleaning it, the final look and maintenance as in syphoning etc.

    (At the time I couldn't find swimming pool filter sand but had seen the JBL and Hubby came home with it to help me out bless him)

    thanks guy,s for advice, found a local pool sand supplier so will be giving it a try, and greg picture is of a lion on "serengeti" was lucky enough few years ago to spend some time their, absolutely awe inspiring, lions leopards, serval all wild and amazing.
