    leaking again I've order spares part again. can't do this ones a mouth new O-ring and hose housing
    any one got a idea to fix is apart from setting on fire :p

    partially close the inlet valve & dont use spraybar unless you need to

    yeah i have one (won it, second prize 2 x tetratec filters :p) and it always leaks if there is any back pressure

    that help mate thanx i did as i had have 2 spray bar on had 2 myself but the older just got to be a right pain in a**

    Contact Tetratec in germany and they may send you modifed powerhead ,. They sent me 2 which solve the problem but I have another 5 !

    Folk were getting these replaced if they contacted Tetratec UK
    It's a well known problem with these filters although newer ones are supposed to be modified.
    Worth a try before you set it alight. :)

    i give that a go but i was going to get a fx5 and set fire to the tetratec but if it work save me self 200 pound which i can spend on discus:D
    i was thinking i was mad to have 2 but 5..Lol

    2 with modify heads and another 5 waiting for them to leak !

    both my are over 2 yrs old but have been a pain all the time great once run just getting start without leaks i call them tomorrow as of to work now

    I know eheims may initially be more expensive, but very little goes wrong with them. I had one of the older cylinder ones back home ran perfectly for 15 years (until I sold my set-up moving to warrington where the waters so hard and was bad for my discus) so you really do get what you pay for. Some of the classic ones available now are really good value including media and quick release taps on both in and outlets.

    morning all got home this morning and just a little bit of water got out so going stick with it and when the new part come I'll rebuild the old 1 and then this 1 that running now and they play up i sent fire to both fx5 or 2 eheims
    i turn it up full see what happen as I lot of air in it.

    i had a fluval 404 for like 12yrs and ran perfectly think i had 4 clips holding the top on still no leaks it had uv on the return and put a long spray bar on tetratec it starts crying tear all over the floor:eek:
